History

Super Eagles Football Club, also affectionately referred to as ‘Phukalla Ntsu’ is a South African based semi-professional team.

Phukalla Ntsu was established back in the year 2006, with a focus on locating and grooming young local talent, developing them into professional levels.

The club played most of their early years in regional and district football ranks within their home town, Bethlehem in the Free State Province.

Following a strong show in the lower leagues, the Super Eagles FC joined third tier football during the 2008/09 season, led by their chairman Dr Strike Mabasa.

The club played in the Second Division for some years, creating a name for itself within the league formation in the Free-State demarcation.

In 2016/17 the football club was promoted to the National First Division (NFD), where they participated during the 2017/18 season. After just one year in the NFD, Super Eagles were relegated back to third tier league.

Phukalla Ntsu have since played in the third tier league football, now called the ABC Motsepe League, Free-State division, since then, with the club collecting silverware during the 2022/23 season after being crowned the Thabo Mofutsanyana Men’s Regional League Champions.

Currently, during the 2025/26 season, Super Eagles Football Club play in the ABC Motsepe League FS.
