Super Eagles Football Club have offered their condolences to the club’s chairman following the loss of his mother.
“Condolences to Our Chairman and His Family
It is with profound sadness that we, the entire Super Eagles FC family, extend our heartfelt condolences to our Chairman, Dr Strike Mabasa, and his family on the passing of his beloved mother.
The loss of a mother leaves a void that words can hardly fill, and we share in the family’s grief during this difficult time.
May these words bring strength, peace, and comfort to Dr Mabasa and his loved ones as they navigate this season of sorrow” read the media statement.
“The late mother of Dr Mabasa was a remarkable woman whose love, guidance, and faith gave rise to one of the most humble and visionary leaders in South African football. Her legacy lives on through her son, who has devoted his life to developing the game and empowering the youth of Bethlehem and the Free State Province at large.
Since 2009, under the steadfast leadership of Dr Mabasa, Super Eagles FC has not only grown into a symbol of excellence but also achieved significant milestones including promotion to the national league. For over a decade, no other team from Bethlehem has maintained such a consistent presence in the ABC Motsepe League, a testament to his commitment, sacrifice, and love for the community.
“We, as the Super Eagles family, are deeply grateful for the life of the woman who raised a leader who continues to plough back into the community, carrying forward her values of humility, perseverance, and compassion” the statement concluded.
